Ka-ra-te

Since the 2010 4th of July parade Tyler has wanted to take Karate, he saw some kids doing Karate that were in the parade and he thought that was the coolest thing ever.
But I got busy and never looked into it. Recently I got an email about a killer deal on Karate lesson's and we couldn't pass it up.
So the first day of class Kendra thought this might be something she would be interested in as well, and they (Karate Sensei, and his assistant) said it would be OK if she tried it to see if it was something she would want to do.
Sorry these pic's aren't the best, as I can't get up in their face's while they were in class :)

The kids had to get a running start and kick the paddle Sensei was holding. Kendra did have fun, but in the end decided this wasn't for her. But she was getting the hang of it, and got some good air for this.

Look at Tyler and the air he got. He is having a great time with Karate.

This was a drill where they had to kick with their left, then their right, bend down to avoid a hit to the head, then stand back up and hit with right, then the left.

His Sensei's assistant (really I have no idea what to call her, because some time's she is actually teaching the class) is helping him put on his top, isn't he cute, even though he doesn't have his belt on yet, he is darling in this outfit.

He got a little hot with his top on. He really likes doing the kicks.
That boy in picture with him is actually his cousin. We had no idea they signed up for this class as well, they just started a week later. The first week they were together, boy were they rowdy. Not sure it's the best idea to have these two in class together.
For the most part, Tyler has had fun, but I'm not sure he will do it anymore after his 4 weeks are up, but we'll see what happens!
I just love the fact that he like's trying new things.

Bryan did karate all through his growing up years. He was huge into it. Frankly, I'm surprised that Brandon chose gymnastics over karate. :) Tyler looks great!! Love all those action pics!
