Grape smashers & last day of school, No lie!

I know, these should have been posted a long time ago. Well when school got out, we got busy and I didn't do any posting, then my SD card got misplaced but someone who wanted to use my camera and was using their own SD card, we just found it last week :) Then I tried to upload the pic's to blogger and it had issues, so here we are 17 days before school is supposed to start and I'm blogging about the last day of school. It work right!?

At our school in 3rd grade the kids get to make a "simple machine" to smash grapes with. Kendra and Mike put their minds together and came up with this idea. She has to help build it as well. I was the lucky one who got to paint it with her direction. We were down to the wire on this thing (so we thought) and used the spray paint we had on hand, apparently we like to keep just a little at the bottom of our can's for project's such as this. Hench the multi colored grape smasher :)

We are supposed to send in grapes with the kids and I forgot as I had a lot going on that morning, but lucky for me, I had been working at the Jr. High and lunch was provided for the volunteer's and guess what, they had grapes, this worked out great for me (this is why they are on a fancy plate and everyone else had them in baggies).

Here's Kendra with her good friend "L". They have so much fun together.

Here is Kendra on the last day of school with her teacher, Mrs. Wilding. Deidra has her as well, we really like her.

And Tyler with his cute teacher Mrs. Cook, we loved her, this was the first time any of the kids had had her, and I'm kinda sad, because she is so great.

Of course I didn't get Deidra and Tiff on the last day of school with any of their teacher's, not sure that would be cool to do when your in Jr. High. Although I may sneak into Deidra's lunch a few more time's this upcoming year, I mean it's her 9th grade year and all and she needs a few pic's to document her last year of Jr. High (or at least to be embarrassed a few time's before she hits High School). But all the kids had a great year. We can't wait to see what new things this new school year is going to bring our way.
