This could also be titled "The never ending birthday" or "I'm such a bad mom for not posting this earlier" Either way, it's being posted now and all is well.
So Tiff turned 12 on July 23. Mike, Deidra, Tiffany and I were all out of town for her Birthday which is one reason I didn't post on that day. She and Deidra were in a leadership camp from Friday the 23rd through Sunday the 25th. It was in a small town just outside of Houston, TX. I'll do another post about that and later.
Tiffany did have the never ending Birthday (so it seemed). We arrived in Houston on Thursday and went to Rain forest Cafe for dinner. Then shopping in The Galleria mall for some Birthday clothes. (best mall ever by the way). On Friday they went off to camp and she was sung to in Italian, then was able to sing to herself in front of a bunch of new friends (which she said wasn't too embarrassing at all, and didn't mind doing it. It was all part of the camp stuff).
Then we picked them up Sunday and celebrated with a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.
Monday we got home and her room had been "heart attacked" by the Young Women in our ward welcoming her into YW. Kendra and Tyler wanted to give her a surprise too, so they toilet papered her room using 2 rolls of toilet paper, my good toilet paper (don't they know we have a stash of yucky toilet paper just for toilet papering, sheesh).
Tuesday night we ended up going to Applebee's for dinner, Tiff's choice.
Friday was her friend party. A post on that to come!
Then on Sunday we had family over for cake and ice cream.
I think she has had a really good Birthday.
Tiffany is such a great girl. We are so proud of her and all her accomplishments. She truly has a big heart and is so caring. She is a great friend to have. A fun sister/daughter to be around. She has the hair I've personally always wanted. And as summer progresses I think she has my skin, ya know the kind where you tan easy (sorry to the rest of my kids, blame your dad); but she loves this. She is excited to be going to Young Women's now. And to be starting Jr High. She is grateful for the friends she has and enjoys spending time with them.
Thanks for being you Tiff, we wouldn't want you any other way!
You're the BEST.
Happy (late) Birthday. Love you tons.
