4th of July weekend!

I love the 4th of July, espicially here in our little town. There are always fun activities going on to celebrate. We/I have not missed any since moving in 10 years ago. Well we/I can no longer say that. All day Thursday I kept thinking of all the things we need to do on Friday, get the younger kids bikes ready for the children's parade, get our spot staked out for the parade, get everything ready for the parade on Saturday morning. Well Friday morning rolls around and I'm sicker than sick with food poisoning. Yep it was UGLY. I really didn't sleep at all Thursday night so I was exhausted to say the least. So in between going to and from the bathroom I was trying to sleep. So my poor kids were neglected, Tiff ended up being in charge because one of Deidra's friends had invited her to Lagoon and one of Kendra's friends took her to the Rec center swimming. So poor Tiff took care of her and Tyler all day. Thankfully she was a real good sport about it and never complained.

Mike of course had to work, and really even if he had stayed home to help me, there was nothing to help me with. So he called me and said he would take and do all the things with the kids that we normally do. Thank goodness because I was feeling so bad about not being with them during the day.

In our town the night before the 4th they have a children's parade, then a festival of sorts at the park then fireworks at night.

I guess they were throwing out balls and Mike caught one for Tyler, so they had to play catch right then.Cute Kendra waiting for the fireworks (I guess) hehe.

I would assume Tiff is waiting for the same thing.

So the next day I did feel a little better and was able to attend the parade. Yeah cuz I love me a good parade.

For some reason we didn't get a picture of all of us together, so for your viewing pleasure you get us seperate or semi seperate.

Deidra really wasn't grumpy, just bad timing I guess.
Cute Kendra, hair had already fallen out, but no worries we went home and fixed it. She loves to let me do her hair so I love to make it funky and on this day it had "fireworks" in it.

After the parade we came home and rested for a bit then headed up to our Aunt LuAnn's for a party. It was so fun, but no pic's of that sorry. Later that night we went up to Mike's parents for the fireworks.

On Sunday we had a great day at church. And on Monday we were able to have a fun day hanging out with our little family then off to Lagoon for a night of fun.

I'm so glad the weekend turned out so well. And that we got to spend it with the people we love.
