Colonial Days!

In 5th grade at our school they have what is called Colonial Days. They kids get to recreate things that the kids did for work or fun, they have a hugh selection to choose from, they can pick as many as they want and have about 3 weeks to work on their stuff. Then they have a big celebration and are able to show off what they did. Tiff chose a pin cushion, Grandma LaRue had some cute fabric she gave us, we had to stitch something on it, sew it up by hand, and stuff it, it turned out so cute. Then she choose a rag doll, but they were able to use a sock, then dress it up from there, Tiff made her's a princess, she is very cute.
The 3rd thing she chose was to make some bread, it was wheat bread and she had to do most of the work (I helped a little), but it was the best bread ever, we love it, and so did everyone else in 5th grade, her's apparently went 1st because it was so good, they had a hugh feast to celebrate the end of their hard work. Tiff had great time working on her projects, we are so proud of her.

What a fun school activity! I don't remember Rebekah having to do anything like that in 5th grade.
