Welcome to Kendra's bakery!

For Kendra's 10th Birthday party, we had lot's of idea's swarming around in our head's. We settled on having a bakery, I mean when you have a sister who is knowledgeable in cake decorating why not?!

I knew right away when I had seen a blog post about aprons being made out of reusable bag's that I needed those at the party, they turned out super cute, best .50 per girl ever spent :)

I had them cut and sewn before the party (Thanks T.T. for helping me sew)

I knew that eating pizza, watching a movie and decorating wasn't going to take a whole lot of time and I needed a time filler, so when I saw these cute magnet's being shown on one of our local "home & family" shows, those were going to be made as well. I mean who doesn't love magnets, and to make them yourself for dirt cheap (as in, free wood, already had the paper, just needed the mod podge, magnet's and paint brushes) another score!

Funny thing is, I had never used mod podge before (how sad is that)! But all the girls had, heck even Tyler had, so they all knew what they were doing.

Apparently it's just as fun to mod podge your hands as it is to your magnets :)

After a few game's and eating Kendra opened her presents, they played that game where you use a different voice and she has to try and guess who it is, and if not you get bonked on the head, poor girl missed a few times as some of her friends are pretty tricky at disguising their voices. Luckily she wasn't hurt (to badly) in the process!

She is very blessed with some awesome friends!

We then moved onto decorating their cake's. They got some instruction from Tiff and went to work. They could do whatever they wanted. We had some candy for them to use as well, but mainly they enjoyed using the frosting to make their designs.
Of course there was a little taste testing in between :)

Here they all are with their finished products. They all turned out really cute, I was very impressed with their cake decorating skills.
Some of the girls ate their cakes at the party and some wanted to show their parents what they did. It was so fun to see them so excited about their creation.

They all had a wonderful time at the party.
We love you Kendra, glad we pulled off such a great night for you and your friends!

The bakery is now Closed!
