Have I ever mentioned how much I love our school? Well I do, they do some really cool things with the kids.
Tyler recently had Dad's -n- donut's with Mike. The kids get to bring their dad (or mom or grandpa, what ever works for them) into school with them when they come first thing. They get to do games with the dads, they read with them and take AR tests (this is a testing on the books they read, and get points for to go to a party), they sing songs for their dad's, then they get to serve them donuts and milk or juice.

I love this part of 1st grade, it's so fun and the kids all love it. The girls still remember doing these things with us, I love these memories!
I'm excited about the fact that my turn is next, mom's -n- muffin's coming up in May.

We do that at our school too and we love it! What a fun way to get parents into the school so the kids can show off what they've been working on!
Dad's and Doughnuts is such a fun activity. How wonderful that Mike too his camera to capture such a wonderful time Tyler.
I miss that school. Ours is okay and all...and does some fun things...but I still think yours is better and I miss it a lot.
