I was deeply sadden when I turned on the noon news today. I had no idea that Elder Wirthlin had passed away. He was such a great man, I loved to listen to him speak. His last address in the October General Conference was wonderful. Thru that talk I felt I was able to get to know him and his family so much better. I loved how he told the story of his daughter getting in the car with a man she thought was her blind date, when he was really there to pick up a sister to babysit for his family. I loved how he talked about how they would laugh at things instead of getting angry, because everyone knows that never helps anything. I love the advice his mother gave him. "Come what may, and love it" I love this quote, His mother was a wise woman. As I sit and think of things happening in my life I need to take this advice to heart and live it. Life isn't going to be easy at times for anyone. If we all could remember this it may just be a little easier to handle. Farewell to a great man!

I went back and read that talk again after I heard the news yesterday. It was one of my favorites too. What a sweet man. He will be missed.
I check you blog everyday. Just sometimes I don't know what to comment. I'm sorry I will do better.
Okay, good thing I checked your blog tonight. I've been so busy that I haven't watched the news for days and had no idea he had passed away. He was a great man.
